Payment & Insurance

Do you take insurance?

Insurance companies require a diagnosis to reimburse for therapy. We have a couple of therapists that accept some insurance plans.

For in-network coverage, your insurance plan will typically cover a portion of the session fee.

For out-of-network benefits, we provide superbills (detailed receipts) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to verify your mental health benefits before your first session.

Fees vary by therapist experience and credentials. Several of our therapists offer sliding scale options for those who qualify.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost.

  • This applies to all self-pay (uninsured or out-of-network) patients for non-emergency services.
  • You must receive this estimate at least 1 business day before your scheduled service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute it.

Do you offer a consult prior to the first session?

Yes! We offer a free 10-15 minute phone consultation. This is a chance to ask about our approach, share what brings you to therapy, and get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit.

It's completely optional but many clients find it helpful before scheduling their first full session.

Therapy Process

How long does therapy take?

Short-term therapy typically involves 8-10 sessions and can be effective for specific, well-defined concerns.

Deeper exploration of longstanding patterns or more complex issues often takes more time.

Ongoing support is also an option for those who benefit from a continued therapeutic relationship.

Your treatment plan is flexible and adapts to your progress and goals.

How often do we meet?

Weekly sessions are recommended, especially when starting therapy, to build momentum and maintain continuity.

As you make progress, many clients move to bi-weekly sessions.

We are available Monday through Saturday, from morning through 9 PM, to accommodate a variety of schedules.

Logistics

What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy is online therapy conducted through our HIPAA-compliant secure video portal. You can participate from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a credit card on file for all clients. We ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.

Please note that insurance cannot be billed for cancellation fees.
