Psychological testing for adults near Atlanta

Diagnostic Evaluations at Peachtree Psychology's Roswell Office

Psychological Testing for Adults Near Atlanta

Structured diagnostic evaluations for adults across the Atlanta metro — ADHD, OCD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more.

Therapy is most effective when it's built on an accurate understanding of what's actually going on. Psychological testing is how you get there.

At Peachtree Psychology, Dr. Alex Crenshaw offers structured diagnostic evaluations for adults across the Atlanta metro — in person at our Roswell office. Whether you're trying to understand a specific condition like ADHD, OCD, anxiety, or depression, seeking clarity before starting treatment, or questioning whether a previous diagnosis was right, a formal evaluation gives you something guesswork can't: a documented, evidence-based clinical picture.

Why Adults Seek Psychological Testing

You've struggled with attention, mood, anxiety, or behavior for years and have never had a formal evaluation
You've been in therapy but don't feel like you're working on the right thing
A psychiatrist or prescriber wants more diagnostic clarity before moving forward with medication
You've received a diagnosis you're uncertain about and want a second clinical opinion
You need documentation — for workplace accommodations, educational support, or professional licensing purposes
You suspect a specific condition like ADHD, OCD, or PTSD and want to know for certain

In each case, the goal is the same: move from uncertainty to clarity, so that whatever you do next is built on an accurate foundation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to schedule a psychological evaluation?

No. You can contact Peachtree Psychology directly to schedule an initial phone screening with Dr. Crenshaw.

How do I know which evaluation I need?

The phone screening is designed to answer this question. Dr. Crenshaw will review your concerns and help you determine whether the Full ADHD Assessment, Standalone Diagnostic Evaluation, Anxiety Assessment, Depression Evaluation, OCD Testing, or another path is the right fit.

How long does a psychological evaluation take?

It depends on the evaluation. The Full ADHD Assessment takes most of a Saturday morning. The Standalone Diagnostic Evaluation, OCD Evaluation, Anxiety Assessment, and Depression Evaluation each include a 60-minute clinical interview and a 60-minute feedback session.

Will I receive a written report?

Yes. Every evaluation includes a written clinical report you can keep and use — for treatment purposes, documentation needs, or conversations with other providers or prescribers.

Can the report be used for workplace accommodations?

A clinical report from a formal psychological evaluation can support accommodation requests. If you have a specific documentation need, mention it during your phone screening so Dr. Crenshaw can ensure the evaluation addresses it.
