Standalone diagnostic evaluation for adults in Roswell, Georgia

Virtual Psychological Evaluation for Adults

Standalone Diagnostic Evaluation at Peachtree Psychology

Focused psychological evaluations for adults, conducted virtually with Dr. Alex Crenshaw.

Sometimes the question isn't just "do I have ADHD?" It's something broader and harder to name. You know something is getting in the way — your mood, your focus, your relationships, your ability to function the way you want to — but you haven't been able to pin it down. Maybe you've been in therapy before and felt like you were working on the wrong thing. Maybe you've never had any formal evaluation and you're starting from zero.

A standalone diagnostic evaluation is where that changes.

Dr. Alex Crenshaw offers focused psychological evaluations for adults seeking greater clarity about what they're dealing with — including anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression, and other psychological conditions. This is a structured clinical process designed to give you an accurate picture and a direction forward.

Peachtree Psychology offers a full range of adult psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations, including anxiety assessment and depression evaluation. Diagnostic evaluations are conducted virtually; ADHD assessments are in person at our Roswell office.

Who This Evaluation Is For

This evaluation is a good fit if you're an adult who:

Has been struggling with mood, attention, anxiety, or behavior and wants to understand what's actually driving it
Has been in therapy but feels uncertain whether the diagnosis or treatment approach is right
Wants a professional clinical opinion before committing to a treatment plan or medication
Is experiencing symptoms that seem to overlap — anxiety that might be OCD, attention problems that might be depression, or trauma affecting multiple areas of life
Needs documentation of a psychological condition for work accommodations or another purpose

If your concerns are more specifically focused on ADHD and a comprehensive workup is warranted, the Full ADHD Assessment may be the better starting point. Dr. Crenshaw will help you determine which evaluation fits your situation during the initial phone screening.

What the Evaluation Includes

A focused clinical evaluation designed to give you diagnostic clarity and a clear path forward.

Investment

$900–$1,100

1

Initial phone screening to discuss your concerns and confirm this evaluation is the right fit

2

Brief screening survey, when appropriate, completed before your appointment

3

90-minute clinical interview covering your history, current symptoms, and how they're showing up in your life

4

60-minute feedback session reviewing findings and recommendations

5

Written clinical report documenting the evaluation, diagnosis, and specific next steps

This evaluation is conducted virtually via secure telehealth.

Most evaluations are $900. The fee is $1,100 when additional clinical interview time beyond the standard 90 minutes is needed. This is discussed with you in advance. A superbill is available upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

What You'll Walk Away With

You'll receive a written clinical report documenting the findings — what the evaluation identified, what it ruled out, and what the recommended next steps are. The feedback session is built into the process so you have time to understand the results and ask questions before you leave.

The goal isn't a label. It's clarity — so that whatever comes next, whether that's therapy, medication, a different kind of support, or simply understanding yourself better, it's built on an accurate foundation.

When Additional Interview Time Is Needed

Most evaluations are $900 and include a 90-minute clinical interview. If additional clinical interview time is needed, the fee is $1,100. This is discussed with you in advance — not billed as a surprise after the fact.

If the initial evaluation suggests that a more comprehensive assessment is warranted — such as the Full ADHD Assessment — Dr. Crenshaw will discuss that with you directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this evaluation and the Full ADHD Assessment?

The Standalone Diagnostic Evaluation is designed for adults who want clinical clarity across a broader range of concerns — mood, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression, or a combination. The Full ADHD Assessment is a more comprehensive, multi-method process specifically designed to evaluate ADHD when a full diagnostic workup is warranted. The phone screening will help you identify which is right.

Does insurance cover this?

This evaluation is self-pay. A superbill is available upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Contact your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network psychological testing benefits.

How long does the evaluation take?

The evaluation includes a 90-minute clinical interview and a 60-minute feedback session, both conducted virtually. Most evaluations are $900. If additional clinical interview time beyond the standard 90 minutes is needed, the fee is $1,100. This is discussed with you in advance.

Can this evaluation support a workplace accommodation request?

A clinical report from this evaluation can document a psychological condition and may be used to support accommodation requests. If you have a specific documentation need, mention it during your phone screening so Dr. Crenshaw can ensure the evaluation addresses it appropriately.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. You can contact Peachtree Psychology directly to schedule a consultation.

Are you accepting new clients?

Dr. Crenshaw is currently accepting new clients for virtual evaluations.

Is this evaluation in person or virtual?

Standalone diagnostic evaluations are conducted virtually via secure telehealth. ADHD assessments are the exception — those are conducted in person at the Roswell office.
